Macclesfield community facility - Assessing the need in Macclesfield for a new community and arts facility

In 2011 The Hamilton Project were commissioned by Cheshire East Council to deliver a feasibility study in partnership with Capita Symonds to assess the need in Macclesfield for a new community and arts facility and the reprovision of new facilities of the users of a  Senior Citizens Hall. The report assessed the value of investing in new build  agains the value and benefits of investing in Heritage Buildings in the town.

In 2012 The Hamilton Project were commissioned to take the Phase one report a stage further by taking a preferred option forward, in consultation and working with the users of the Senior Citizens Hall. The detailed report will case studies of relevant examples, detailed research into the audience potential for a performance space, consultation results and include designs to RIBA stage B, governance structures and a detailed business plan.
